When Can you tell the Sex of the baby

When can you tell the sex of the baby? If I'm carrying all around what do you think that would be?

Reply From New Baby & Beyond

Hi,

The sonographer can normally tell the sex of your baby if you have an ultrasound scan at around 20 weeks. The 12 week scan is normally too early for medical professionals to predict the sex of your baby.

People also use old wives tales to predict the gender of the baby they're carrying. One of these tales claims that if you're carrying your baby high in your tummy you will have a baby girl, but if your baby lies low in your tummy it will be a little boy.

If you fancy having a bit of fun about predicting your babys gender then read baby gender prediction, but do remember these methods are not reliable and only for a bit of fun.

Kind regards
Julie
