If you're trying to conceive a boy, there are things that you can do to assist in the process.

There does seem to be a genuine science behind some of the techniques that are available, and they also seem to have a high success rate.

Firstly the Y bearing sperm, are the boy producers. According to science these Y sperm are smaller, have a more rounded head and are much faster than female sperm. The downside is that they don't live as long as the female sperm.

The theory behind some preconception gender selection methods is that the male sperm are faster, this means that you should have sex about 12 hours before you ovulate. These smaller, faster sperm will then reach the egg first.
