In the Nursery
Baby's nursery should be the most tranquil place in your home, but how do you get from 'spare room' to 'baby's room'?
Its hard choice knowing what to pick out for your new little bundle. From cots to hanging mobiles, curtains to wallpaper, Where should you start?
Well hopefully you will at least have it planned (if not done and dusted) before baby comes home. If you're more like me, well, we were decorating while Joe was still in our room! When you first bring baby home, you will more than likely have baby in your room for the first few months, I kept both of my children in my room until they were 6 months old. It makes the night feeds easier, and means you can check them easier in the middle of the night. But whether you are still in the throes of pregnancy, or whether your baby is here already, that back room needs to be sorted! Clear out the junk, and make room for that stork to deliver his bundle! Get thinking, get designing! Here you can find some tips, and a couple of good links, to help build those colour scheme's and theme idea's, take a look at
decorating that nursery!
Ok, painting all done? Great, so now lets take a look at
nursery furniture
Who would believe that this little person (2 feet in length) would need this much stuff! Lets see what you need, where you should put it, and where you can get it from!
Now the decorating is done... the furniture has been removed from its flat packing and hopefully assembled in the right order! (don't you just hate those instructions!) So let's have a look at some
baby bedding
One more things you may need for a nursery and it doesn't quite fit with the above categories, baby monitors. Do go for digital! I had basic monitors at first, and then I got digital, wow what a difference!
No hissing, no crackling, just pure peace and quiet until baby needs you!
Now the grand parents have them too :-)
