Decorating the Nursery

So, let's see, how do you go about remodelling that bedroom into a baby's room. Decorating the nursery will either make you go... "ahhhhh" or "argghhhh" but it doesn't have to be that bad!

Ok lets make that plan, draw a sketch of the nursery, with a plan view, and start plotting a few items, then think about decorating that back room :-)

Firstly do you want a certain colour? Pink for a girl, blue for a boy. If you don't know the sex of your baby yet (or don't like the whole pink blue theory), you could go for lemon, mint or lilac. Maybe you could pick out a theme, cartoon characters, Mickey Mouse or Winnie the pooh. Maybe trains or rainbows, abc nursery or 123 nursery, the list is endless. Themes play a big part in decorating the nursery, but don't worry if you don't want to do the whole theme thing, plain baby colours or pastels can be just as great.

Maybe you prefer neutral colours in the nursery, creams and beige's are calming for you, and your baby won't grow out of them!

Alot of shops have themed sets, cot bumper and quilt, curtains and tie backs, wallpaper and paints. Have a search around and see what makes you go "ahhhh, I want that!"
