Could I be pregnant?

Majority of women at some stage in their life will ask the question... "Could I be pregnant?" Whether you want to be pregnant or not is another matter. But I would think that if you're asking the question 'am I pregnant' that you must be having one or two symptoms? The only real way to find out if you're pregnant is of course to do a pregnancy test (and do have a spare, as they are not always correct!) Pregnancy tests are getting more advanced every day, with some of them allowing you to do the test up to a week before you even miss (or get) your period. Getting the results is also much easier, some tests now actually spell out the words - Pregnant/Not Pregnant, rather than the pink line - blue line, one line - two lines dilemma! For some women though, doing the test itself is a total nightmare and they just can't bring themselves to pee on that little stick!
Am I pregnant - The basic tell tale signs!
If you're at this minute, sitting at your computer screen and in the back of your mind you're screaming out "Could I be pregnant?" Well here are a few basic symptoms. -
Implantation bleeding,
you may think you have your period a week early, but if the bleeding is light or spotty, this could just be the egg attaching itself to the lining of your uterus. A quarter of pregnant women will experience this.
- Morning sickness, ah yes - that nauseous feeling as you get out of bed in the morning!
- Sore and tender breasts.
- Headaches.
- Feeling more tired than normal.
- Strange metallic taste in your mouth.
These are just a few basic pregnancy signs and you may be experiencing something totally different. Some women state that they 'just know' when they're pregnant! Have a look at some more
pregnancy symptoms here.
It's important to remember that getting pregnant isn't always as easy as you may think, and what you are experiencing could also be a symptom of something totally different to pregnancy. So do pop down to your local pharmacy and get a pregnancy test, or your doctor will be able to test as well.
