Does Your Baby Sleep Through The Night?

sleeping baby

If not, you could be sending him the wrong signals.Baby sleep is one of the hardest patterns to establish and it's very rare for a newborn baby to sleep through the night. Joe started sleeping through at 6 weeks, and Lauren was 11 weeks.

By some stories I've heard this is quite good! Baby sleep rarely settles into a pattern before 3 or 4 months. My friends baby still had her up in the night at 2 years old, her husband slept in a separate bed as he was sick of sharing his matrimonial bed with his wife and...his son!

I love my sleep :-) and due to that fact I had no intention of letting my baby disturb my nights for any longer than necessary.Your baby's sleep patterns will adjust, but for the first few weeks she doesn't really know day from night, its all the same to her. She sleeps when she needs too, and wakes you when she needs too! This is what you have to help her change.

Baby's sleep needs to be as comfortable as possible, click here to see some general baby sleep safe tips, how warm should your baby's room be? how many blankets does she need? what's the best way to put your baby in her cot to sleep? The 'safest' answers are all here.

If you want to help your baby quickly get out of her night feed stage. Then you need to help teach her the difference between day and night. Let's see how to get your baby to sleep through the night!!

As your baby gets older, if she wakes in the night but not for a feed and not because she's got a dirty nappy or any other problems, the likelihood is that she has woken and can't get herself back to sleep. This is where she cries for poor tired mum. She really needs to get herself back to sleep when she wakes. So for tips on baby sleep problems - click here.

If you have a fidgety baby, that constantly kicks off her covers and blankets in the night, when she gets cold she could wake you to tuck her back up! Here's a great idea to keep your baby warm - (baby sleepsac) through those cold winter nights.
