Some doctors believe that it restores blood flow to the reproductive organs, achieving harmony and stabilizing hormone levels. This in turn leads to a more regular menstrual cycle.

Studies that have been carried out using acupuncture as a treatment for infertility, alongside ivf have shown a drastic increase in resulting pregnancies. Approximately 15% more pregnancies were experienced in women using ivf and acupuncture, then women who just used ivf.
