About Me - And New Baby And Beyond!

Hi there

I'm Julie, Mum of these 2 gorgeous but very high spirited kids that you see in the pictures! Joe aged 11, and my tiny little Lauren aged 7,

I am 39 years old, and my kids are my world - They have taught me so much! No really... I wouldn't be half the woman that I am today without them.

A lot of the topics on my site are from personal experience or things that have happened to my friends. Things that I haven't experienced first hand, I have researched so you don't have too.

My children are the inspiration behind my site. I wanted to be at home to look after them, not stuck in some 9 to 5 job or worse, where I would rarely see them.

While Joe was a baby and for 3 years after, I studied computing at home with the Open University. After 1200 hours worth of study and 3 exams (one while Lauren was only 3 months old!), I held a diploma in computing. So I decided to venture onto the internet and start my own business. I tried a few things, I'm not going to mention any names, but... alot of the books that I bought about internet based businesses weren't worth one penny of the the money I spent on them.

One seemed to make a little sense, and I started to do some affiliate marketing, there was alot to learn! At the end of 6 months I had lost a few hundred pounds. I was making money, but what the books don't tell you is how much you have to spend on advertising in the first place, and that far outweighed what I had made!

That's when I discovered this... SBI. A place where I could build a site about a topic that's very close to my heart. Everyone knows something about something! It could be a hobby, your job, whatever you want! SBI is site hosting, site building, site everything! It's a huge online internet family. And people are always there to help. One more thing (well two actually)... You won't spend thousands a year on advertising, and you don't need a diploma in computing!

Anyhow, that's me - Julie... Mum of two! I'm not making a fortune - Yet, but my site is my business, and my business can be exactly what I want it to be, and to top it off, I love working on it. I'm here for my kids, and it doesn't get much better than that!
